Mr. Blau has practiced law since 1996, with an emphasis in commercial litigation and business and real estate transactional work. He frequently litigates landlord-tenant, bankruptcy/creditors rights, and real estate matters. Mr. Blau has extensive experience in state, federal and bankruptcy court.
He has represented creditors and commercial landlords in chapter 11 cases and bankruptcy trustees in chapter 7 cases. His creditor and trustee representation includes all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, including asset sales and the prosecution and defense of adversary proceedings related to preferential transfers and fraudulent transfers. He also handles collections, real property disputes, out-of-court workouts and restructurings, contract claims, alter ego/successor corporate liability, shareholder disputes, and dissolution rights matters.
Mr. Blau has extensive experience in the creation of business entities, the drafting of governing documents, and the negotiation and structuring of general business transactions. He also represents clients in commercial real estate transactions including limited liability company formation and management, real property acquisitions, financing, leasing, and sales.
Mr. Blau also drafts and negotiates shareholder buy-sell agreements and equipment leases, and represents individuals and entities in the health care industry, including physicians and physician groups.
